Baby Bucks
The Hope Clinic is a private, non-profit organization that awards Baby Bucks for a variety of educational opportunities, both within and outside of our office. All participants must be a Hope Clinic client before receiving or redeeming Baby Bucks. Baby Bucks are redeemable for cribs, car seats and crib mattresses, as well as a wide variety of other items.
Baby Bucks can be earned in the following ways:
Videos
The Hope Clinic offers videos that you may watch in our office. Our videos cover a variety of topics, ranging from pre-natal development to parenting skills. Please ask to see our video list.
Workbook
There are no right or wrong answers in this workbookit just helps us get to know you, and helps you take a good look at some of the challenges you may be facing. You will flll out a workbook on your own and bring it back to The Hope Clinic for review with one of our volunteers. The workbook, titled "The Me I SeeLearning to Know Myself," is worth three Baby Bucks when you complete it and review with a Hope Center volunteer.
Pamphlets
The Hope Clinic offers a wide variety of pamphlets that you may read. Each pamphlet that you read and write a two-page (school-size paper 8 1/2" x 11") report on is worth two Baby Bucks. Reports must be hand written. Less than two full pages will be worth one Baby Buck. Reports less than 1 1/2 pages are not eligible for our program.
Free classes that earn Baby Bucks
Clients are eligible to receive one Baby Buck for each class session attended in the following programs. For this section, you must pick up a verification form to be filled out by your class instructor.
Adams County Extension Office classes
To sign up call (260) 724-3000 or (260) 589-8172, ext. 236. Some of these classes are offered in your home, if needed. No charge for these classes. Classes include Have A Healthy Baby, Budgeting and Nutrition.
Care Coordination Services
Offered to Adams County Hoosier Healthwise clients. To sign up for this, call (260) 724-2145 or (260) 580-3913, ext. 4347. No charge for these classes.
Childbirth classes
Offered by the American Red Cross. To sign up, call (260) 724-9106. There is a fee for classes, but no one is turned away if unable to pay.
Love, Inc.
Offers classes through their Life Skills Program. Childcare provided. Call (260) 728-4503.
Adams and Wells County Healthy Families
Clients participating in the Healthy Families program will be awarded a certificate redeemable for Baby Bucks when meeting a goal set by a Family Support Specialist. Call (260) 724-0491 to enroll.
